We’ve had reports from our customers that a suspected bogus caller, claiming to be from Vico Homes, is operating in the area.
The caller has attended one of our homes and claimed to be there to look at an issue with the gas supply, promising to come back at a later time to complete the job. The customer did the right thing and rang us first as they weren’t aware an appointment had been made. When the customer told the caller they would ring us to confirm their identity, they quickly left.
We checked and found there was no scheduled appointment so our customer was right to be wary.

If you believe you have been visited by a bogus caller, you should call the police non-emergency number 101 to report it.
If you’re the victim of a scam or fraudulent activity, you should report this to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or through their website, or contact your local trading standards team.
Be vigilant, always ask for ID, and call us if you’re not sure.
