We're planning to build 1,500 new homes in the next three years. We aim to do this by taking opportunities where possible to build new homes, and by considering our customers’ needs to develop a variety of homes with different affordable options. 

Since we were established in 2005, we've built or acquired 4,000 homes in Wakefield, Leeds, Kirklees, Barnsley, Bradford, Rotherham, East Riding, Harrogate, Hambleton, Craven and Selby. 

We're proud to maintain Homes England Investment Partner status and continue with our strategic partnerships with Homes England. We develop our new homes by working in partnership with local authorities, other social housing providers and private developers. 

Bridge Homes Yorkshire (LLP), our joint venture with Wakefield Council, supports our drive to build new homes in Wakefield, delivering high quality properties for sale, rent and Shared Ownership. 

Our homes are built for both rent to Homesearch members and for sale through Shared Ownership.

In addition to current building regulations, we also provide the following in our new build homes: 

  • ovens, hobs and cooker hoods

  • high quality kitchen fittings

  • bathrooms with showers and towel radiators

  • high specification wall tiling

  • turfing and fencing to garden areas

  • a 10-year warranty. 

Our new build homes also include energy efficiency features designed to save you money, including: 

  • high levels of insulation in walls, floors and roofs

  • improvements to ventilation systems

  • the use of renewable energy technologies where appropriate.
