Vico Homes is built on the foundations of WDH. We are looking for a Customer Insight and Data Assistant to join our Customer Insight Team which oversees the Customer Insight and Scrutiny Programme within our Business Intelligence and Change department.

A home is more than four walls and a roof. It should be a safe place. A place to start things. A place of opportunities. A place to grow. A place where you feel you belong.

These are the places we provide for today and for the future. This is what marks us out as one of the leading players in the social housing sector. We have over 32,000 homes across the north of England, home to tens of thousands of people. And people are at the centre of what we do.

Our people are approachable and professional. But we’re not afraid to be optimistic and show our passion for what we do to support our customers. We share a common vision, acting confidently to ensure we remain at the forefront of making it happen.

Together, we’re building better futures and vibrant communities.

About the role

As the Customer Insight and Data Assistant your manager will be our Senior Insight Officer. You will work up to 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area with our Head Office in Castleford.

As the Customer Insight and Data Assistant you can expect to have a working week filled with a variety of activities. A large part of this role is customer facing, and therefore you will be engaging with our customers through a variety of research methodologies. Although, sometimes, nothing beats a phone call or meeting up directly with our customers.

Data collection is a busy aspect of the role, but the in-depth insights we can gather from our customers allows for high quality analysis and reporting. The interrogation of data will be a weekly activity, ensuring all data is cleansed and ready for analysis using a great attention to detail to achieve this.

As we work across the entire organisation, the way we analyse data may be different depending on the research objectives and desired outcomes. As a result, you may find that you spend part of your working week exploring ways of presenting data clearly, creatively and in an engaging way for our audience. No two projects are the same, although you will use our library of past and present research projects to make links to other areas of the business and make comparisons to past data.

What you’ll do
  • Conducting data collection for both quantitative and qualitative research using a mixture of research methods
  • Inputting data from survey work and undertake data analysis using statistical software
  • Creatively design reports and presentations which present the findings of the research
  • Conducting regular data management activities to maintain databases in the Customer Insight Team

What we’re looking for
  • Experience of collating statistics and interpreting data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • An organised approach to project management
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines

For more details on what we’re looking for in this role, please see the Job Description below.

Please note: Interviews will take place on Thursday 19 June 2025.
