We are looking for individuals who have drive, commitment and passion to help maintain and improve the estates, where homes  are owned and managed by us .  

A key part of these roles is to always promote our service in a manner consistent with the, Customer Charter Standards, legal and regulatory requirements.

In these roles, you will manage individual tenancies conditions and improve environmental quality of our neighbourhoods, to help create places where people want to live and stay. 

Details of each role which we are recruiting are as follows: 

Estate Officer – Wider Operating Area 

Up to 37 Hours, Fixed term up to 12 months 

You will be required to take a pro-active approach to managing tenancy breaches and provide relevant support to individual tenants across the wider region. You will effectively manage and monitor a caseload, be able to prepare written statements and have an understanding of the legal process. You will represent Vico Homes in court and whilst working with key partners, internally and externally to support our tenants.

Estate Officer – Peripatetic

Up to 37 Hours, Permanent 

You will be responsible for all aspects of tenancy and estate management within the Wakefield district and when required across the wider Yorkshire region. You will primarily work across all seven neighbourhood areas within the Wakefield district to provide additional employee resource.

What we’re looking for 

To join our Estates team, we’re looking for someone with:

  • relevant and significant housing experience;
  • an understanding of the issues affecting individual our tenants and the wider community;
  • strong and effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • ability to deliver high levels of performance to meet the agreed targets, standards and deadlines in a performance-oriented culture;
  • excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • decisive analytical and interpretation skills; and
  • self-motivated with the ability to work in pressurised situations.

The position requires applicants to hold a current, valid UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the Wakefield district and wider region, when required on a daily basis. You may also need to be available to attend out of hours meetings and participate in out of hours call-out and emergency planning procedures.
