About the role
As the Finance Team Leader (Rents and Service Charge) your manager will be our Revenue Accountant. You will work 37 hours a week on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area from our Head Office in Castleford.
As the Finance Team Leader (Rents and Service Charge) you will play a key role in rent setting, service charge calculations, stock reporting, budgeting and financial reconciliation whilst leading a small team and supporting year-end audits.
What you’ll do
- You will work with the Revenue Accountant on all the following: rent setting for all Vico Homes properties and the calculation of all service charges, monitoring of stock numbers and the production of monthly and quarterly stock reports to be sent both internally and externally. You will also be involved in the management of monthly account reconciliations, dealing with year-end audit enquiries, business partnering and maximising efficiencies
- Other responsibilities include line management for relevant team members, involvement in the preparation of the rents and service charge budgets, leaseholder actual cost statements and other regulatory returns
What we’re looking for
- We are looking for a hands-on, high performing, motivated and engaging person who can work well within a team and be fully involved in the day-to-day finance function within the Rents, Revenues and Treasury team.
- As well as membership of a recognised UK accountancy body, candidates should have experience within a Finance function, up-to-date experience of accounting systems, experience of communicating effectively and building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to deliver results to tight deadlines and under pressure
