At Vico Homes we’re building vibrant communities and shaping the future of housing.

We’re proud to create places where people love to live, and we know that trust is key to everything we do. That’s why we’re looking for a confident, caring and ambitious leader to take on the role of Head of Data Compliance.

What you’ll do

As Head of Data Compliance, you’ll lead our Information Governance Team – a group of dedicated professionals who make sure we handle data responsibly and securely every single day. You’ll act as our Data Protection Officer, guiding the organisation to meet all requirements of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This is a role where you’ll shape strategy and make a real difference. You’ll:

  • Develop and implement policies and systems that keep us compliant and confident.
  • Monitor and advise on data protection impact assessments and risk management.
  • Be the go-to expert for colleagues and the main point of contact for the supervisory authority.
  • Lead investigations into data breaches and ensure lessons are learned.
  • Drive awareness and training so everyone understands their responsibilities.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a natural leader with a passion for doing things right. You’ll have:

  • Expert knowledge of GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and related legislation.
  • Experience managing data protection processes, including DPIAs and data sharing agreements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • A pragmatic, solution-focused approach and confidence to make decisions.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • A people focused approach, able to work collaboratively with teams across the organisation.

A recognised qualification in law or data protection (Level 6 or equivalent) is essential.
