Vico Homes is built on the foundations of WDH. We are looking for a Leasehold Manager to join our Development Team.

A home is more than four walls and a roof. It should be a safe place. A place to start things. A place of opportunities. A place to grow. A place where you feel you belong.

These are the places we provide for today and for the future. This is what marks us out as one of the leading players in the social housing sector. We have over 32,000 homes across the north of England, home to tens of thousands of people. And people are at the centre of what we do.

Our people are approachable and professional. But we’re not afraid to be optimistic and show our passion for what we do to support our customers. We share a common vision, acting confidently to ensure we remain at the forefront of making it happen.

Together, we’re building better futures and vibrant communities.

About the role

As the Leasehold Manager your manager will be our Head of Sales and Marketing. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area from our Head Office in Castleford.

As the Leasehold Manager you will be responsible for taking care of the leasehold journey from start to finish, keeping things running smoothly for our residents, our legal teams and our internal teams. You will ensure that Leasehold processes are clear, compliant and genuinely helpful. In short you will be the person who makes sure everything adds up and everyone feels supported.

It is an exciting time to be joining us and here are some of the initiatives that you will be involved in:

  • Improving services to Leaseholders following the results of the Leaseholder survey
  • Driving improved automation in relation to arrears monitoring
  • Planning and delivering the annual Leaseholder forum

What you’ll do
  • Lead on the day-to-day management of our Leasehold portfolio.
  • Handle lease queries, legal documents and communication with leaseholders and freeholders.
  • Keep up with leasehold Law and help us stay ahead of it.
  • Lead on leasehold communication strategies – be proactive, transparent, set a positive tone and be people focused.
  • Collaborate with other service areas to ensure an effective Leasehold service.
  • Ensure robust data management and reporting systems are in place to provide reports on service performance including service charges, arrears and customer satisfaction.

What we’re looking for
  • A qualification at Level 5 of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications, such as an HNC, Award, Certificate or Diploma at Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in property or tenancy management, especially leasehold operations. Including ensuring compliance, streamlining of processes and delivering exceptional service.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-growing, ambitious company. You will be a confident thoughtful communicator who brings clarity and calm to complex leasehold matters. With an eye for accuracy and a natural attention to detail you will be highly organised and analytical, and proactive in solving problems before they arise as well as being comfortable using digital systems and platforms.
