About the role
As a Project Manager – Assets your manager will be our Assets Projects Manager. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.
As a Project Manager – Assets you will be responsible for a small team including Senior Project Officer, Project Officer and Capital Programme Surveyor. Using your excellent programme and project management and communication skills, you will play a critical role in the delivery of Vico Homes’s Future Homes Plan, ensuring that we provide safe, comfortable and warm homes.
It is an exciting time to be joining us and here are some of the initiatives that you will be involved in:
- Taking a lead role within the Property and Building Safety team with regards to delivery of investment work including to our high-risk buildings (HRBs)
- Taking a lead role in the development and delivery of our sustainability projects
- Taking a lead role in the development and delivery of our client responsibilities for major insurance work
What you’ll do
- Manage the delivery of the organisation’s projects and programmes of work, including but not limited to its annual capital investment programme, ensuring all necessary information is in place for projects to commence and be delivered. Projects and programmes will include re-roofing, external improvements, building safety and energy efficiency retrofit amongst others
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, notably CDM Regulations, building safety and Building Regulations
- Lead on communications and engagement within and between service areas, customers, owner occupiers, leaseholders and consultants and contractors to ensure projects and programmes are delivered in accordance with specified standards, required timescales and to the satisfaction of customers
What we’re looking for
- A qualification at Level 5 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework, such as a HNC, Award, Certificate or Diploma at level 4 or equivalent, in a relevant subject area
- Experience in the project management of large construction or planned maintenance projects
- Self-motivated to work with minimal supervision, and able to motivate a diverse work force to deliver an efficient and effective service
- Excellent communication skills with employees, managers, tenants, operatives, supply chain representatives and stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of applicable regulations related to health & safety and building safety and ability to challenge stakeholders robustly to ensure safe delivery of projects at all times
