About the role
As the Project Officer - Sustainability your manager will be our Senior Project Officer - Sustainability. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.
As the Project Officer - Sustainability you will be responsible for serving as a sustainability subject matter expert, providing specialist advice on energy efficiency, climate change, and decarbonisation to support the delivery of Vico Homes’ Sustainability Plan. You will work across the organisation to embed sustainability principles, enhance energy efficiency in the housing stock and help reduce fuel poverty.
It is an exciting time to be joining us and here are some of the initiatives that you will be involved in:
- Be the first point of contact for the EPC Contract
- Support the team with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 3 project
What you’ll do
- Be a Sustainability service subject matter expert, supporting delivery of the Vico Homes Sustainability Plan
- Provide technical/specialist sustainability, energy and climate change expertise to teams across the organisation to embed principles and realise corporate decarbonisation targets and ambitions
- Undertake work to improve the energy efficiency of Vico Homes’ housing stock and tackle fuel poverty
What we’re looking for
- A qualification at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework or equivalent, such as A Levels, Award, Certificate or Diploma
- Level 3 in Energy Awareness or willingness to work towards
- Significant experience of working within a similar sustainability role
- A well-developed understanding of operational services delivery within a large organisation.
