As part of our growing Social and Financial Inclusion Team, we're looking for a Team Leader to join our Training for Employment team to help shape and deliver opportunities for individuals across our organisation and communities.

This is an exciting role where you’ll lead on delivering employment and self-employment services, while managing and developing 12-month paid placement programmes designed to support personal growth, employability, and long-term career prospects.

You will also be responsible for the day-to-day planning, organising and management of all elements of construction projects whilst on site, in full compliance with all applicable legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Additionally, you’ll take the lead on a specific small and large projects linked to improving communities and developing customers homes.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and deliver effective development initiatives and projects to maximise the potential of individuals on placement across the organisation.
  • Promote the service to customers and stakeholders in line with our Customer Charter, ensuring high standards of care and support are delivered.
  • Oversee the delivery of Community Employment and Self-Employment support across our area of operation – helping people take steps back into employment.
  • Stay compliant with all relevant regulations and practices, including the duties of a Principal Contractor under CDM regulations.
  • Represent and champion the service internally and externally, helping to build its profile and impact.

What we’re looking for 

  • A strong communicator and team leader with a passion for empowering people and creating development opportunities.
  • Experience in developing people focused development or employability programmes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and placements.
  • Experience or understanding of working in compliance with health and safety regulations with particular emphasis in construction (including CDM).
