Kettlethorpe High School students get the Let it Bee bug!

We rolled out the red carpet for our Kettlethorpe High School wildlife champions for the premiere of the film we made featuring their ideas to promote biodiversity in our communities. And what a showstopper it was!

The students are the pioneers of our Let it Bee sustainability project, and we’re working with them to produce an un-bee-lievable plan  to support and promote our wild grass areas and biodiversity in our communities. They presented their ideas to our ‘Dragons’ Den’ panel, and we were blown away by the work that had gone into their pitches.

Ideas include creating DIY birdboxes, plant a flower kits, nature walks and garden competitions, partnership work, social media campaigns and much more! And we can’t wait to spring into action and start making some of these a reality.

Kettlethorpe High School teacher and school co-ordinator of the project, Ethan Tindale said: “Our students have absolutely loved being part of this project, their passion has been wonderful to see, and they’re already buzzing about what comes next!
