Residents at our Monument Mews independent living scheme enjoyed a vibrant afternoon of music and entertainment, thanks to a visit from the Pontefract Family Centre Performers.
The group delivered a variety show featuring classic hits from The Beatles and ABBA, along with a lively rendition of “Making Your Mind Up” by Bucks Fizz. Their colourful costumes and enthusiastic stage presence brought a real sense of fun to the Communal Lounge.
Pontefract Family Centre is a charity that works with individuals with special needs, including those with learning difficulties, disabilities, and Down’s syndrome. Through creative activities like music and drama, the Centre helps people build confidence, develop new skills, build lasting relationships, and enjoy a fulfilling life.
Their performance at Monument Mews was a great example of how the arts can bring people together and create shared moments of joy. Our residents were clearly impressed, one asked if we can book the performers again at Christmas and another said they were amazing!
