Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing a new automated calling system to help us contact you quickly and securely if a direct debit payment is returned unpaid.
We know unexpected, missed payments can happen and this new service is designed to make it easier for you to sort things quickly and with minimal hassle.
How it works
If a direct debit is returned unpaid, you may receive an automated phone call from us. During the call, you’ll be given the option to:
- Press 1 to make a payment using our secure automated payment line, or
- Press 2 to speak directly with one of our advisors for support.
If you can’t answer the call, we’ll leave a voicemail explaining that your direct debit has been returned unpaid and asking you to get in touch.
The voicemail will say: “This is a message from Vico Homes. Your direct debit has come back unpaid. Please contact us to make a payment on 01977 724464, or alternatively, you can make a payment through your online account.”

We understand that scam calls are a real concern, so we want to reassure you that this automated call is officially from Vico Homes and remind you that we’ will never ask for your full bank details or passwords.
You can always choose to hang up and contact us directly using the phone number on our website or your tenancy information.
