We’ve secured funding to help make your voice heard

We’re pleased to share some great news!

We’ve secured funding from the Social Housing Innovation Fund, a national programme that supports projects designed to give people more influence over the services they receive and make sure their voices are listened to.

Our project was chosen as one of a small number of pilots across the country. It will help us focus on something many people have told us really matters: being listened to, treated with respect and knowing your views can lead to real change.

Why this matters to you

People living in social housing have told us that stigma can sometimes affect how confident they feel about speaking up.

It can shape how concerns are received, how feedback is handled, and whether people feel taken seriously.

We want to change that.

This project is about understanding real experiences and using what we learn to improve how we work with you openly, fairly and respectfully.

What will happen next

Over the next year, we’ll be working closely with people who live in our homes and with specialist partners to develop better ways of listening and learning. This includes:

  • Gathering insight from lived experience, so we understand what helps, and what gets in the way, when you share your views.
  • Improving training for colleagues, shaped by real experiences, to support more respectful and inclusive service delivery.
  • Creating easier ways for you to share feedback, including taking conversations out into neighbourhoods rather than expecting you to come to formal meetings.
  • Making sure you can see how your views have influenced decisions and improvements.

The aim is to make it simpler, safer and more worthwhile for you to have your say, especially if you haven’t felt confident doing so in the past.

Working together to improve services

This work builds on our wider commitment to being open, caring and accountable to the communities we serve. It’s not about quick fixes, but about building trust over time and making sure your voice genuinely shapes what we do.

As the project develops, we’ll share updates on what we’re learning and how you can get involved.

Thank you to everyone who has already shared their experiences and views. Your voice matters and this project is about making sure it’s heard.
