About the role
As the Admin Officer dependent on the role your manager will be either our Assets Performance Manager or Senior Officer. You will work up to 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.
As the Admin Officer you will be responsible for providing high‑quality administrative support, ensuring data accuracy and help to deliver a professional service aligned with our values. You’ll play a key role in managing daily tasks and supporting the Team, Managers and Heads of Service to achieve operational targets.
What you’ll do
- Act as a key point of contact, handling stakeholder queries, emails and telephone enquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide vital administrative support, including raising purchase orders, managing diaries, producing reports, typing minutes and maintaining accurate records on our IT systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues, managers and external partners to deliver projects, build strong working relationships and support the wider Assets and Sustainability team.
- Ensure all correspondence, documentation, and system housekeeping meet agreed service standards while promoting health and safety awareness in the workplace.
- Work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the service, contributing to Vico Homes’ vision and objectives with discretion and reliability.
What we’re looking for
- A Level 2 qualification (such as GCSEs or equivalent) and proven experience in office administration or a housing‑related field.
- Strong IT skills, with practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to process and present data accurately.
- Excellent communication, customer care and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work flexibly in a performance‑driven environment.
- Self‑motivation, sound organisational ability and a commitment to supporting colleagues and meeting agreed standards and deadlines.
