Join our dynamic Property Services team, where we deliver essential repair and maintenance services that directly impact the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our residents. As Assistant Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the operational delivery of emergency and responsive repairs, voids, fire safety, pest control, and asbestos management.

This is a hands-on leadership role that contributes to the smooth running of our services, ensuring compliance, quality, and value for money. You’ll work closely with Team Leaders, subcontractors, and internal colleagues to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support projects within the Property Services Directorate
  • Monitor and improve operational systems and procedures
  • Oversee financial performance and resource planning
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain high standards
  • Manage internal and external contractors and service providers
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training, and compliance briefings
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Deputise for the Delivery Manager when required

What we’re looking for

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in site supervision/management
  • SMSTS, IOSH or similar H&S qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Valid CSCS card and UK driving licence
  • Experience in managing repairs and maintenance in housing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours and emergency situations

Desirable qualifications include

  • BM Trada Fire Door/Stopping Accreditation
  • RSPH Level 2 in Pest Control
  • Asbestos Manager qualification (e.g. UKATA HSG247)
