About the role

As the Team Leader your manager will be our Senior Team Leader. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area with our Head Office in Castleford, West Yorkshire.
What you’ll do
The Major Works team is looking for someone to join our established team and work closely their respective managers and colleagues to deliver a variety of construction and property works to benefit Vico Homes communities and the local area. You will be an energetic, driven and committed individual who can take on a wide range of tasks. As a Team Leader you will assume responsibilities for the day-to-day planning, organising and management of a diverse workforce, including in-house labour and third-party sub-contractors, in full compliance with all applicable legislation along with Vico Homes Policies and Procedures.
You will be an active presence within the district, supporting your team and colleagues, along with supporting our efforts to provide excellent customer care. You’ll have the opportunity to motivate a diverse workforce to deliver high standards and ensure works adhere to the required specification, and are completed safely within financial, operational and customer service performance targets. The successful applicant will have good communication skills and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, as well as our customers and other interested parties, as applicable.
What we’re looking for
- A qualification at Level 2 of the Regulated Qualification Framework in a relevant construction or trade related field
- Have sound knowledge and understanding of residential properties and their component parts
- Experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary workforce including in house labour, specialist service suppliers and sub-contractors
- Able to deliver projects within set financial, programme, satisfaction and associated business targets
- A good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
- A willingness to work on a flexible basis as customer and business demands dictates
